HISTORY
The Friends of the Grande Spirit Foundation was established in 2001 in response to a donation made by the estate of a resident, and the change in operating assistance by the government from full coverage to costs for basic services.
The Friends of the Foundation saw an opportunity to enhance the lifestyle in the homes by donations, grants and fundraising. The Friends of the Grande Spirit Foundation was established to oversee the administration of any funds donated or raised through fundraising activities.
CONTRIBUTIONS
Contributions can be made in memory of a family member, friend, etc, or in recognition of a special date, such as a birthday, anniversary, or other special event. These gifts can be directed to specific homes if you wish and you will receive a charitable tax receipt.
A Planned Gift is an alternative way to contribute. This method may offer certain tax benefits. It can involve bequests of life insurance, real estate, cash etc.
Volunteering your gift of a specific skill or assistance in fund-raising or special events is a valuable contribution to the quality of life in our seniors homes.
