SPRING BREAK UP FUNDRAISER: DINE & DANCE

The Rycroft Agricultural Society and Solution Services & NaR Environmental are teaming up to make a difference in their community. They're organizing the annual Spring Breakup Dine and Dance event, which promises to be a fun-filled evening and will also help fund the construction of the new Pleasant View Lodge. This facility will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for many individuals for years to come. By working together, we can make a positive impact and create a lasting legacy for our community. At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on naming rights for various common areas throughout the lodge.

Live auction and dance to follow. Silent auction throughout the night.
$40.00/dinner ticket, 
Cash bar $5.00/ drink ticket. 
SOFA GNOMES will be our entertainment for the night.
 
Tickets will be available at Solution Services Sexsmith, Spirit River at Edge Auto, Home Hardware Spirit River Flooring, as well as at Rick's Fuel Service in Rycroft.

The government of Alberta and Canada have partnered on construct a new 24.8 million dollar housing project.  Providing homes for seniors with a wide range of care in the Spirit River area.

The new development will replace the Pleasantview Lodge and increase capacity to 92 units. 40 units will be lodge places, and 52 units will be designated for supportive living spaces to help seniors as their care needs change.

Amenities 
  • A large game room/lounge equipped to handle significant social events, including movie nights, happy hour, games and pool. 
  • A fitness room with equipment for physiotherapy light exercise.
  • A large multi-purpose/craft room to hold social events.
  • A family kitchen for residents' private functions.
  • Multiple meeting spaces.
  • Resident laundry room.
  • And of course quiet living room spaces, dining and commercial kitchen.

The project was made possible through support from the G5 municipalities, Province of Alberta and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. The province estimate the project will create roughly 175 jobs during the planning design and construction of the facility.  Permanent jobs will be added one the facility is operational.

The Grande Spirit Foundation is presently completing a funding application for the construction of a 26-unit seniors self contained apartment adjacent to the new lodge to complete the circle of care an enable seniors to age in place in the community

Krawford Construction was awarded the bid,  and has begun the project. 175 jobs during the planning, design and construction and not to mention the permanent jobs that will be added once operational.  Residents are expected to start moving into the new homes in the Spring of 2024.
